MR CHOO YI HUNG

Yi Hung is a dedicated and dynamic tutor with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and

Linguistics from the Singapore University of Social Sciences. Since 2020, he has been teaching

in the private education sector, guiding students through the English syllabus for the Integrated

Programme (IP) and ‘O’ Levels, as well as General Paper (GP) and the IB Diploma

Programme’s Language and Literature course.

A passionate and engaging educator, Yi Hung believes in empowering every student to realise

their full potential. His lessons place strong emphasis on critical thinking and informed literacy,

featuring thought-provoking material drawn from a broad range of disciplines to expand his

students’ intellectual horizons.

Firmly convinced that English and Literature are best approached through an interdisciplinary

lens, Yi Hung often integrates insights from the wider humanities into his teaching. Through this,

he helps students cultivate both academic excellence and a richer understanding of the world

around them.
