MS JUSTINE CHIN

For the past 7 years, Ms Justine Chin has been teaching in both private and group settings. Her experience with a variety of students has better equipped her with the skills to help each and every one of them grow at their own pace.

As an English Literature graduate, Ms Justine is passionate about reading for meaning and understanding. This translates into her teaching in the classroom, where she aims to show her students how seemingly difficult and abstract concepts can actually be broken down into manageable, bite-sized portions. She aims to dispel the feelings of fear and dread that students tend to be gripped by when it comes to tackling the English paper. She also hopes to encourage her students to be more curious about the world around them, and instil in them a hunger for learning.

Ms Justine strongly believes in nurturing her students to be empathetic individuals who strive to improve not only in their studies, but as individuals as well. That is why, in the classroom, she greatly encourages the asking of questions. She hopes that her classroom can be a safe space for her students to express themselves, and one where they can learn and grow from active discussions with their peers. Teacher Justine also greatly encourages her students to not be afraid of making mistakes or failing, because they are the building blocks for eventual success.
